I usually don't care for summertime in NYC. It's always too hot, the subways are packed and the afterwork 'mixers' are over-rated.The summer of 2010 has thus far proven to be different. In fact, it has been the best on record. I could go on and on about what has made it so great. However, for now, let's focus on one of the highlights: I have been asked to moderate a panel at the National Conference on Volunteering & Service. Called, "Tweets, Posts & Flips: Shaping the Way You Think About Informing, Educating and Engaging Your Internal and External Stakeholders," the discussion will focus on how social media can be a strategic force in the engagement of internal and external volunteers. My nerves were kept at bay 4 months ago.
