In 2010 not only will your great aunt be holding you accountable to your resolutions, Whole Foods Market will be holding you accountable as well.In lieu of traditional New Year's resolutions, Whole Foods Market's first-ever Facebook application encourages shoppers to declare, "This is my year to...". By choosing a food-related mantra that best describes their aspirations for the coming year.So why does Whole Foods care you ask? The plan is to raise awareness for three selected non-profit organizations. Each group will receive a $10,000 donation, and the non-profit with the most votes will receive an additional $10,000. Throughout the month, fans can vote for their favorite mantra and its related non-profit organization. I don’t know about you, but that just made it a whole lot easier to put down those slices of red velvet cake.
