I'm All About Funded.
I am just catching my breath after an insanely busy summer. That is sad considering it's October. Yet, I still don't think that being a slave to my packed calendar is a sufficient excuse for not having seen an episode of Funded.Funded is an AOL web series which strives to tell the stories of entrepreneurship outside of Silicon Valley. It was created by Brian Janosch, an editor-at-large at The Onion, and Baratunde Thurston, who wrote the bestseller, How to Be Black. The series began filming this summer and consists of five-to-seven-minute long shows, which track real entrepreneurs as they jump-start their dreams by raising money online.Crowdfunding sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo have set a new standard. Yet, I believe there's an old school ethos tied to the new which brilliantly plays out in Funded. It's next level crowdfunding. It's good stuff. It's how business is being done today.
