My, my. We have come a long way with cell phones, haven’t we? Remember when cameras didn’t take pictures, record video and help save the world? I do, but I won’t talk too much about it because I’d be aging myself.

Let’s just focus on the aspect of change, shall we?Earlier this week, The New York Times reported that The Red Cross pulled in an astonising $22 million dollars from it's text-to-give campaign which is being powered by mGive. In 36 hours alone, donations made via mobile phones for Haiti Earthquake Relief surpassed $7 million across all the short codes managed by the Mobile Giving Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping other non-profits raise funds through mobile. This amount represents a mobile-giving record for funds raised for a single cause. Before you get super-impressed by the numbers, please know, there is much more to do to rebuild Haiti.
